WESTFIELD - The Westfield Lady Wolverines (3-12, 3-8) held off the Cassadaga Valley Lady Cougars, 27-22, Monday in CCAA West II girls high school basketball on Senior Night.
After both teams battled to a 10-all tie at halftime, the Lady Wolverines outscored the visitors, 7-4 in the third quarter, and 10-8 in the fourth for the win.
Rachel Allen led Westfield with 15 points and five steals.

"Not many other girls scored, but a lot of them played very good defense," Westfield coach Matt Eggleston said. "It was a nice team effort. Not much shows up on the scoresheet, but they were playing great defense."
Kari Knopp had seven rebounds and Carson Hauser dished out three assists.
The Lady Cougars received four points from Preslie Johnson, Ashley Repine and Joey Horton. Repine also had 15 rebounds and 12 blocks.
Before the game, Westfield recognized Kari Knopp, Marissa Okerlund, Emma Fermier, Lacey Landon, Rachel Allen and Emily Archer.
"It's been a rough year, so it was nice to have a good win for them" Eggleston said. "This is back-to-back wins. It's been a great year for me having them. I'm sad to see the season go."
Westfield returns to action Wednesday at Sherman.
