The Dunkirk Fredonia Lions Club President Roy Marvin recently presented a $300 check to Dunkirk Little League representative Keith Ahlstrom. The Dunkirk Fredonia Lions Club has supported a team with the Dunkirk Little League since the league was founded in 1958.
The Dunkirk Fredonia Lions Club supports many activities in the local community. One activity is the Loan Closet which lends wheelchairs, walkers, other health care aids to individuals. The club supports vision screening and the purchase of eye glasses and hearing aids for people in need in the local community. In addition, the organization makes donations to the local Pet Pantry, the Dunkirk Free Library, the Ross Eye Institute, Dunkirk Fredonia Meals on Wheels, Breakfast With Santa, the Winter Jacket Drive, Chautauqua Adult Care, scholarships to local high school students and Willow Mission.
