Betty J. Lundin, 82, of Dunkirk, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter on Tuesday afternoon (Feb. 18, 2014) surrounded by her four children. She was born (with twin Barbara) on Nov. 27, 1931 in Potsdam, NY to Frank and Winifred Kelley Bicknell. Betty attended local schools and was a graduate of Potsdam College. Betty and Barbara then went to Washington, DC, and were secretaries for the FBI. It was there she met the love of her life. She married Vernon A. Lundin (a WWII veteran and IBM Engineer) on Sept. 6, 1952. She and Vernon settled in Dunkirk, NY in 1955. Betty was a homemaker who was active in the First United Presbyterian Church, serving as a Deacon and a member of the Women's Guild. Betty was a member of the PTA and was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts. She was a loving wife and mother. All friends and family were invited in with a warm welcome. Betty and Vernon hosted the annual Lundin Reunions.Betty loved her flowers
and vegetables gardens and for a few years worked at Barnes Nursery. An avid sports fan she enjoyed the Buffalo Bills, Sabres, golf and especially the NY Yankees. She also enjoyed reading, word puzzles, card games, arts and crafts, crocheting and a love of country music. Betty and Vernon loved to travel and had been to most of the United States along with Canada and Mexico. She was a volunteer for

din, Steven (Denise) Lundin, and Larry Lundin, all of the Dunkirk/Fredonia area; twelve grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren
and several nieces and nephews.Betty was predeceased by her husband, Vernon who died Aug. 2, 1999; her father, Frank Bicknell; her
mother, Winifred Bicknell; her twin, Barbara Bicknell; her granddaughter, Jennifer Moran Rasmus; and a great grandson, Jacob Conjerti.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock in the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. The Rev. Cheni Khonje will officiate. Cal-
ling hours will be held Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Willowbrook Park Cemetery.
