Family Health Medical Services entered a team of employees to raise money for the Mayville Food Pantry and do the 2014 Polar Swim for the Presidents Day Weekend Winter Festival. When Mike Ludwig said, “Hey let’s do the Polar Swim,” people thought he was crazy. But, co-worker Natalie Sturges started recruiting employees and getting donations to raise money for such a good cause. In the end, over $1,200 was raised by the practice and 14 employees were courageous enough to jump into freezing Chautauqua Lake. With a large crowd, the team showed up in pink tutus, which was deemed the team costume because of a challenge made to Dr. Robert Berke. Two by two, the employees jumped in. Pictured from left are Amanda Shilling, Cheryl Smith, Kathi Paulus, Chasity Vantassel, Heather Flurie, Natalie Sturges, Mike Ludwig, Nicole Smith, Erin Blake and Jamie Pacanowski. Dr. Robert Berke is pictured in front.
