Dorothy E. Buczek, 96, of Dunkirk, died Tuesday (February 25, 2014), at the Absolut at Dunkirk following a brief illness
She was born in Dunkirk, November 18, 1917, daughter of the late George and Edna (Kopecki) Pochylski.
Mrs. Buczek was a past employee of the former Van Raalte Corporation in Dunkirk, and Bedford Foods, now known as Kraft Foods.

Her memberships included Blessed Mary Angela Parish Church of St. Hedwig. Dorothy enjoyed time spent with her family.
Surviving are her daughters Barbara (Joseph) Strychalski of Jamestown and Nancy (Anthony) Jagoda of Fredonia; grandchildren Shelly Adams of Jamestown, Douglas (Krista) Jagoda of Ontario, NY, Paul G. Jagoda of Fredonia; great-grandchildren Shelby Adams, Garrett Adams, Katie Jagoda, Olivia Jagoda, James Jagoda; sister-in-law Anna (the late "Bud") Sebastian) Manzella; brothers-in-law Daniel S. (the late Folle) Buczek and Louis Meiers, along with several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Stanley S. Buczek who died July 19, 2011; sisters Blanche Meiers, Florence Denny and infant sister Isabelle Pochylski; and brother in law Leo Buczek.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 East Doughty Street, Dunkirk, today from 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 10 o'clock in Blessed Mary Angela Parish Church of St. Hedwig. Interment will be in St. Hedwig's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to St. Hedwig's Cemetery Fund.
