‘Big’ the musical comes to Cassadaga Valley

March 19, 2014
Observer Today

The Cassadaga Valley drama department will present the musical 'Big' on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the Cassadaga Valley middle/high school auditorium. This musical had a brief Broadway run in 1998 and quickly made its way into the mainstream of musicals. The musical is based on the Tom Hanks movie with the same title. It is a story about a young boy who is frustrated about being 12 years old. He finds himself testing the magic powers of a Zoltar machine and wishes he were big. Much to his surprise, it works. It is a charming story of a boy in a grown-up world dealing with grown up things. Tickets are available by calling Cassadaga Valley High School at 962-8581 x 0 during school hours or emailing Dulrich@cvcougars.org. Tickets are also available at the door. The cost is $7.50. Pictured left to right are Anthony Miller as big Josh Baskin and Spence Blake as little Josh.
