Patricia L. (Polvino) Goudeau, 55, of Silver Creek, NY passed away Saturday (March 15, 2014) at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo, NY after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born at the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, NY on Jan. 9, 1959, the daughter of the late Charles and Betty (Faccinto) Polvino.
Patricia graduated from Silver Creek Central School in 1977. She then joined the U.S. Navy and was stationed in San Diego, CA, where she was honorably discharged in 1981.
Patricia retired from the Louisiana Department of Revenue, Baton Rouge, LA in 2011. She had worked in the accounting department.
On July 1, 1996, she married Donald Goudeau, who predeceased her on Dec. 13, 2005.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading and liked to work crossword and sudoku puzzles in her free time.
Survivors include her son, Dennis Murphy III of Louisiana; a sister, Katherine A. Kaus of Silver Creek, NY; two granddaughters, Katrina and Laila Murphy of Slaughter, LA; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and last but not least, her faithful canine companion, Spencer.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Polvino.
There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
