A Dunkirk man is facing several charges following an incident involving a gun early this morning in Fredonia.
The Fredonia Police Department reportd that Devon L. Wilson, 30, of 411 Lord St., was charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree menacing and second- and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon following an incident in the village at 1:15 a.m. today.
Police responded to a 911 call from Lot 10 at 277 W. Main St. reporting a male subject had entered the residence and threatened the tenant and three adult guests with a handgun. The occupants were able to wrestle the handgun from the intruder, who fled the scene.
Wilson was apprehended as he tried to drive from the scene and a .32-caliber handgun was recovered.
Fredonia Police were assisted by members of the New York State Police and Dunkirk Fire Department.
Wilson was arraigned in the Village of Fredonia Court and has been remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail. The matter continues to be under investigation and additional charges are pending.
