Girl Scout Troop 20158 has been working very hard to reach its sales goals and to meet the needs of cookie customers. The group has sold out of cookies three times since the start of its booth sales on March 7.
Unfortunately the troop was unable to secure cookies for its booth sales the weekend of March 14 and 15. The winter storm Wednesday of that week played a big part in that.
To make up for this the girls have added new cookie sales for this week. The troop is now fully restocked and has added sales at Walmart this Thursday, from 3:30-6:30 p.m. and at The Dunkirk Movie Plex this Friday from 4:00-9:00 p.m.

This is the final week of the Girl Scout Cookie Sale so be sure to stock up before they are all gone! Anyone who purchases five or more boxes of cookies at a booth sale this week will receive an opportunity to win FREE Girl Scout Cookies.
The girls enjoy the direct cookie sales and talking with the customers. They also thrive when working together. This is their business - cookie business. The girls set the goal of the number of boxes to sell. They picked the dates and locations of the sales, they made posters and flyers and they used social media to promote the sales. They also work on their Financial Literacy Badges during the sale.
The girls are promoting Operation Cookie Share which sends cookies to the military. For every box donated the girls make a card for the soldier who will get them. This year, over 60 boxes have been donated so far. Anyone who donates cookies to our military this week will receive the opportunity to win FREE girl Scout Cookies.
One of the highlights of the booth sales this year was the visit of a secret shopper. The council sends out secret shoppers to test the girls on the five skills of the cookie program and why they matter. The skills are: goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics.
The girls did very well and received a special patch for their uniforms.
