Villenova Cemetery Burial Association seeks help
The Villenova Cemetery Burial Association is in urgent need of members. Think spring, get out of the house and attend the public meeting at 7 p.m. on April 1 at the Villenova Grange. The grange is located at the intersection of Route 83 and Route 322.
LWV host presentations April 9
On April 9, The League of Women Voters of Chautauqua County will host three presenters who will explore the grape industry along the shores of Lake Erie. The event will be held at the Grape Discovery Center, located at 8305 W. Main Road in Westfield.
The cost for the noon luncheon is $15. Reservations are due by April 2. Make checks payable to LWV of Chaut. Co. Send the payment to Diane Hofner, 7554 Prospect Station Road, Mayville.
Those who wish to hear only the program portion, which begins at 1 p.m., must call Gen Ludemann at 672-4771 to be assured seating. Speakers include Luke Haggerty, viticulturist; Richard Erdle, retired Welch executive and Andrew Dufresne, retired Cornell agricultural educator.
Social Media Webinar Series for nonprofits
The Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation has announced its Spring Social Media Webinar Series which is being offered to all non-profit organizations and is free of charge.
The series will include the following webinars: April 1: Online Fundraising and e-Newsletter Best Practices; April 15: Twitter Best Practices for Nonprofits and May 13: YouTube and Video Content.
The webinars provide useful social media strategies to create engaging, interactive and effective platforms to communicate with a variety of audiences.
