HOUGHTON - The Fredonia State baseball team traveled all the way to Houghton College to take on Brockport, and came away with a 6-2 win. Poor field conditions forced the game to be moved to an all-turf complex at Houghton.

Brockport cut the lead in half in the bottom of the fourth on a wild pitch, which scored Wes Burghardt.
The Devils responded quickly in the top of the fifth as Scott Schuster roped a leadoff triple and scored on a single by Conner Lorenzo. Following a sacrifice bunt and another hit by Frontale to put runners at the corner, Mendiola plated Lorenzo on a sacrifice fly to put the Devils up, 4-1.
In the bottom of the fifth, Brockport again cut the lead in half, following a pair of walks, a single and a sacrifice fly.
The Devils added a run in the seventh to make it 5-2 when Mendiola lined another sacrifice fly to score Kenny Johnston. The final run was scored in the eighth when Lorenzo's two-out single scored Dan Cecilia.
