An Alzheimer's Support Group hosted by Fredonia Place on a monthly basis will be celebrating an important milestone later this month.
The Alzheimer's Associa-tion of Western New York has many support groups which meet at various times and locations throughout its WNY service area. The support group hosted by Fredonia Place will be celebrating its one-year anniversary on April 25.
The group meets in the Winter Garden Theater at Fredonia Place, 50 Howard St., Fredonia, the fourth Thursday of every month from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Group members are notified if the regular meeting date changes due to inclement weather or when the fourth Thursday falls on a holiday.
There is no support group attendance requirement, so caregivers can come only once or every single time the group meets. These support groups provide caregivers with an opportunity to share support, information and resources with each other in a confidential environment.
If you have any questions regarding support groups or other services and educational programs provided by the Alzheimer's Association, visit www.alz.org/WNY or call 1-800-272-3900.
