School 7 grateful for police officers

April 17, 2014
Observer Today

Through the Positive Behavior Interaction Team at School 7 in Dunkirk, students learn a different character trait each month. In March, the focus was on gratitude. Students thought of all the different people that help the community and found ways to thank them. All the kids in the school signed a banner that says "School Seven is grateful for police officers." The banner is now hanging in the hallway of the Dunkirk Police Department. School 7 Elementary Principal Michele Heenan said. "It is important that we always think about what we can do for others. Not just what we can do for the kids, but for what they can do for the community."
