City festivals get helping hand

May 3, 2014
Observer Today

Brooks Memorial Hospital presented the City of Dunkirk with a $7,500 check as a sponsor of the upcoming "Dunkirk's Summer on the Lake" Festival season. The sponsorship is representative of a longstanding relationship between the Hospital and the city. "I noticed the summer concert series last year and saw how great it was. The festivals are a nice thing to do on the lake during the summer. This is our way of thanking the city for its support of the Brooks Memorial Hospital over the past 100 years. They support us and we want to give back," said J. Gary Rhodes, interim CEO of Brooks Memorial Hospital. "Tremendous thanks! Brooks Memorial Hospital is one of the bedrocks of the community. They employ many of the city's residents. We couldn't be more thrilled with their investment in the festivals. We look forward to expanding our partnership with the Hospital and to seeing their presence at all the festivals," said A.J. Dolce, mayor for the city of Dunkirk.
