Dunkirk’s Randy Cooper delivers a pitch during the Marauders’ CCAA?West I baseball game against Southwestern, on Sunday, at Al Stuhlmiller Field.
Nick Swanson pitched the seventh inning for the Trojans and had one walk and one strikeout.
Swanson also had a double, as did Noah Weinstein. Jared Drocy had two-run single for Southwestern.
Zack Crandall had a double for one of Dunkirk's two hits.
"The Past two games, I thought we would compete," Dunkirk coach Frank Jagoda said. "And we're not competing at the plate or in the field right now. We need to be tougher outs and we need to make plays when we're in the field.
"We'll be in for a long day (today) against Fredonia if we keep playing the way we have the last two days," Jagoda added.
Juliam Fred had the Marauders only other hit, a two-out single in the sixth.
Dunkirk hosts Fredonia at 4:30 p.m., today, at Al Stuhlmiller Field.
