Brocton man ticketed after Pomfret accident

A 61-year-old man was charged with failure to yield the right of way when entering a highway after he struck another vehicle near the busy intersection of Route 20 and Route 60 Sunday afternoon. According to the New York State Police at Fredonia, around 12:05 p.m., David Burgun of Webster Road, Brocton, was attempting to turn right onto Route 20 from the Country Fair parking lot in the town of Pomfret when he was waved on by an unidentified driver. Burgun reportedly turned, striking a vehicle driven by Joseph Braxton, 18, of Chapin Road, Sheridan, who was traveling west on Route 20. Both vehicles were towed.
