Fredonia State's regional opponent in the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse tournament will be the Trinity (Conn.) Bantams.
Game time is 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Clark Field on the campus of Gettysburg College. The winner will play in the regional final at 3 p.m. Sunday.
The Blue Devils (12-6) advanced to the round of 16 with a dramatic 9-8 win Saturday over Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute. It was the first post-season win in program history.
Trinity, ranked No. 3 in the most recent NCAA Division III poll, defeated Castleton, 16-4, in its second round game Saturday. The Bantams (16-2) are on a 12-game winning streak. They finished 9-1 in the New England Small College Athletics Conference.
Regional host Gettysburg and Middlebury will meet in Saturday's other regional semifinal, with game time set for 11:30 a.m. Both those teams are nationally ranked Gettysburg at No. 6, Middlebury at No. 9.
Ticket prices are $3 for adults, $2 for students, and $1 for children ages 12 and under. The Clark Field ticket office is scheduled to open at 10:15 a.m. Saturday.
