On May 18, Celoron Legion will host "Randy Jam," a celebration of the life of Randy Hofgren, who passed away in February after a short Illness. Hofgren, a lifelong area resident, was a highly respected musician who played with several local acts including Synergy and Underground Stampede, and toured with the Sean Patrick McGraw Band, opening for Country superstars Toby Keith in 2009 and Eric Church in 2010. Hofgren was a large charismatic presence onstage and a humble easy-going spirit in person. Well-known and well-liked, he was an avid muscle car and motorcycle enthusiast, an outdoorsman, a voracious reader and a witty conversationalist known for his sly sense of humor. Randy Jam will feature live music between 1 to 7 p.m. from The Sean Patrick McGraw Band, We Speak Canadian, The Bogarts, Smokin 45's, Underground Stampede, American Ride Band and Derek Davis and The Tasty Groove with DJ Felony providing entertainment between bands. Admission is $5, with proceeds benefiting Randy's family. A silent auction will be held and BBQ will be available from Desperado's Catering of Angola.
