City receives garden beds

May 14, 2014
Observer Today

Pictured are three of the eight garden beds the city of Dunkirk recently received from a grant from the Chautauqua County Health Network's Creating Healthy Places to Live, Work, and Play project funded by the state Department of Health. In addition to the three across the street from the Steger High Rise Apartments on Main Street, there are two each at the Senior Center on Franklin Avenue and the corner of Grant Street and Route 60, with the eighth on Antelope Street. The beds are available for rent at $10 for the season and must be used to grow food crops. Contact the city Development Department at 366-9876 for further information.
