Meth lab found in vehicle near City Hall

The Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force is pursuing a person of interest after a woman reported finding a methamphetamine lab in her vehicle on Tuesday.

Officers report the woman arrived at the Dunkirk Police Department before 6 p.m. to report the lab, which was found in the car that had been located at her residence on Straight Road in Sheridan. Besides city police, Dunkirk Fire, the drug task force and Hazmat team responded and recovered several items of evidence that are consistent with the production of meth.

A second subject, who was suffering from the exposure to methamphetamine, was found by at the residence on Straight Road and taken to Brooks Memorial Hospital for further evaluation. Additional evidence was found at the residence.
