Habitat for Humanity ReStore Donation Day May 17

May 17, 2014
Observer Today

SILVER CREEK Habitat for Humanity has existed in Chautauqua County since 1989, and has completed 25 homes with affordable mortgages with no interest for low income families. Habitat for Humanity is a "hand-up" not a "hand-out" organization. It provides an opportunity for those less fortunate to take control of their own futures and realize their home ownership dreams. Construction is currently underway on a house at 24 Knight St., Silver Creek for a family of four; at 7 Patterson St., Mayville for a family of six; and at 23 Tew St., Jamestown for a family of three.
