Laurance W. "Larry" Kingsley, 73, of Lakeland, FL, formerly of Fredonia NY, died Sunday (April 27, 2014) at home following a brief illness.
He was born on Feb. 2, 1941 in Silver Creek, the son of the late George and Evelyn (Hockenberger) Kingsley.
An area resident for most of his life, Mr. Kingsley had worked for the Fredonia Seed Co. as the plant manager until its closing and retired from Cliffstar where he was in the traffic department.
A dedicated member of the Fredonia Beaver Club, he served as a member of the board for several years.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy (Matteson) Kingsley; two sons Scott (Laureen) Kingsley of Fredonia and Jim Kingsley and Cindy of Portland; one brother, David (Rosanna) Kingsley; four step brothers and sisters; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Kingsley; and one step sister Grace Bloss.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service Sunday May 18th at 1:00 p.m. at the Fredonia Beaver Club banquet hall.
