The eight scouts from Fredonia Boy Scout Troop 267 worked at Elk Lick Scout Reserve located in Smethport, Pa., as part of a recent Order of Arrow Ordeal. Returning Arrowmen Casey Huber and Andrew Field advanced to Brotherhood. For more than 95 years, the Order of the Arrow (OA) has recognized Scouts and Scouters who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives. This recognition provides encouragement for others to live these ideals as well. Arrowmen are known for maintaining camping traditions and spirit. OA service, activities and adventures help to extend Scouting to America’s youth. The event was hosted by the Ho-Nan-Ne-Ho-Ont Lodge 165 of the Order of the Arrow, BSA. The Lodge is chartered to Allegheny Highlands Council 382, located in southwestern New York and northwestern Pennsylvania.
