Ashville man, 39, charged following alleged relationship with minor
NORTH HARMONY - An Ashville man has been arrested after allegedly being involved in a physical relationship with a juvenile female.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office, William P. Stratton, 39, of Butts Road allegedly had relations with the female at various times and locations in the town of North Harmony from December 2009 through August 2013. Following an investigation by the sheriff's office and Chautauqua County Child Protective Services, a warrant from North Harmony Town Court was issued. Stratton was taken into custody on Tuesday without incident.
Stratton is charged with second-degree course of sexual conduct against a child, third-degree rape, third-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned and sent to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash or $40,000 property bail.
Accident sends two to hospital by helicopter
CHAUTAUQUA - A two-vehicle accident on Route 394 sent two people to the hospital by helicopter Tuesday.
According to the Chau-tauqua County Sheriff's Office, Scott Boardman, 38, of Mayville was traveling north when a vehicle driven by Edward L. Schlabach, 22, of Mayville allegedly pulled in front of him while exiting a parking lot. The two vehicles collided and came to rest in a lawn on the west side of the roadway.
Boardman was not injured but his passenger, Autumn Boardman, 37, of Mayville was flown to Hamot Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries. Schlabach was extricated from his vehicle and flown to Hamot Medical Center.
The investigation is continuing and charges are pending. Chautauqua Insti-tution Police Department, Mayville Fire Department and Chautauqua Fire Department also responded to the scene.
New York State Police at Fredonia
BROCTON - On Tuesday, Fredonia State Troopers arrested Steven Seavy, 23, of Brocton on a second-degree arrest warrant for harassment and physical contact.
The arrest warrant was issued after an incident that took place on Pullman Street on April 25. Seavy was transported to the Village of Brocton Court and arraigned. He was released on own recognition and is to return to court on June 4.
POMFRET - On Tuesday, Fredonia State Police arrested Brandon Ervin, 29, of Columbus, Ohio, as a fugitive from justice.
Brandon was stopped on State Route 60 for speeding. Further investigation revealed there was an active warrant from Franklin County Pleas Court in Ohio for two counts of nonsupport/contributing to nonsupport of a child.
Franklin County Pleas Court requested Ervin be held for extradition to Ohio. Ervin was processed at the Fredonia Station and is currently being held at the Chautauqua County Jail awaiting extradition to Ohio.
On Tuesday, Fredonia State Police arrested Kevin Weary, 49, of Fredonia for shoplifting at the Tops Market, on Vineyard Drive in Dunkirk.
Weary left the Tops Market store with a cart of stolen groceries valued at $765.03. Weary was arrested for petit larceny in the Tops Market parking lot and given an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Dunkirk Court on May 26.
CHARLOTTE - On Tuesday, Fredonia State Troopers arrested Christopher Dellahoy, 25, of Jamestown for unlawful possession of marijuana.
State Troopers responded to Pine Acres Trailer Park on Route 60, Cassadaga to assist EMS with a male subject who had put his arm through a bedroom glass window and was being disorderly.
He was issued an appearance ticket for unlawful possession of marijuana to appear in the Town of Charlotte Court on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
New York State Police at Jamestown
ELLINGTON - On Saturday, New York State Police arrested Tyler J. Lokietek, 19, of Fredonia for driving while intoxicated.
Lokietek was transported to Jamestown State Police for processing where a blood alcohol level of .10 percent was obtained. He was issued issued tickets for driving while intoxicated, returnable to the Town of Ellington Court and released to a third party.
ELLICOTT - On Saturday, Jamestown State Troopers arrested Mikol V. Rockwood, 24, of Irving for felony driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop on Wade Hill Road.
Rockwood and a 17-year-old passenger were transported to Jamestown State Police where a blood alcohol level of .13 percent was obtained from Rockwood. He was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, due to a prior conviction, felony first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlawful dealing with a child - give/sell alcohol to a person under 21, and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Rockwood was arraigned in the Town of Ellicott Court and committed to Chautauqua County Jail with bail pending the District Attorney's recommendation.

CELORON - Nicholas A. Guzda, 25, of Waverly Avenue was charged with second-degree trespass and a parole violation on Monday.
Guzda was arrested at his residence at 3:30 p.m., by deputies along with Ellicott Police Department. He was wanted on several warrants from Jamestown Police and New York State Parole department.
Guzda was turned over to the Jamestown Police Department.
