BROCTON?- The No. 4 Brocton Lady Bulldogs scored two runs in the sixth inning to rally past the No. 5 North Collins Lady Eagles, 6-5, Tuesday in the quarterfinals of the Section 6 Class D high school softball playoffs.
Every time North Collins scored, the Lady Bulldogs responded.
The Lady Eagles used a four-run third inning to take a 4-1 lead. However, Brocton responded with three runs of its own in the third inning.

Morgan Bennett and Jess Putcher ripped consecutive RBI doubles to highlight the inning.
"It was nice winning," Brocton coach Jeff Franze said. "I knew North Collins is always a close game and (Tuesday) was no exception. We were down 4-1 and scored three times to tie it. That was probably the turning point."
The Lady Eagles held a 6-4 lead in the sixth inning, before Brocton responded once again.
Caitlin Murphy led off the sixth inning with a walk and moved to second on a Sabrina Ruiz bunt. Murphy scored on an RBI single from Brooke Kuschel. Jess Delcamp later hit an RBI sacrifice fly to score Murphy for which proved to be the game-winning run.
Putcher was the winning pitcher as she struck out five and gave up seven hits.
Kuschel finished with two hits while Putcher, Bennett and Merle each had doubles for the winners.
"Our defense played well," Franze said. "We made some nice fielding plays. I hope that's a good sign. We have to be strong in all facets of the game now."
Brocton now takes on No. 1 seed Panama on Thursday.
Forestville 8, Ellicottville 7
FORESTVILLE - Sam Jackson hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the No. 3 Forestville Lady Hornets an 8-7 victory over No. 7 Ellicottville on Tuesday.
Katie Thompson led off the seventh inning with a double and scored on Jackson's hit.
The Lady Eagles held a 4-0 lead in the third inning, but the Lady Hornets responded with a six-run frame to take the lead.
Thompson had an RBI single while Mackenzie VanZile ripped a two-run single to highlight the inning.
Thompson finished the game with two hits, a double and an RBI.
"Katie is progressively getting better as the season goes on," Forestville coach Bri Hazelton said. "She had a great day."
Alicia Szumigala was the winning pitcher with 12 strikeouts, no walks and nine hits allowed. At the plate, she had two hits with a double and an RBI.
The win sets up a rematch of last year's Sectional championship game as the Lady Hornets travel to Pine Valley on Friday.
