Observer Today

A 65-year-old Lakewood man suffered significant injuries Monday evening after tumbling down a path on the steep hill leading to the beach at Point Gratiot Park in Dunkirk. Around 6 p.m., Dunkirk firefighters and police officers responded to the scene. According to an OBSERVER source, ropes were used to bring the victim, who was loaded onto a backboard, up to the top of the hill. He was then transported by Alstar Ambulance to a site that Starflight could land at and take him to an area hospital. The name of the man was not released by authorities.
