Collins Fire Department lands grant

U.S. Senators Charles E. Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand today announced $216,482 in federal funding for Collins Fire District. The money was allocated through the Department of Homeland Security's Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program (AFG). The funds will be used to purchase new bottles, face pieces, and air packs to replace their self-contained breathing apparatus, which are all approximately 20 years old.
