Louis Rizzo Jr., 63, of Fredonia, passed away Wednesday, May 28, at the VA Medical Center in Buffalo, after a lengthy illness.
Louis was born December 23, 1950, in Dun-kirk, son of the late Louis and Josephine (Manzella) Rizzo.
He was proud to have served as Cpl. in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1970-75. He was stationed in Okinawa, Japan and Quantico, Virginia, and received the National D-fense Service Medal, Rifle Marksman M-14 and Good Conduct Medal.
He was a past employee of True Temper, Chemical Process and Supply, Alstar Transport and Express Screen Printing, from where he retired in 2010.
Louis loved his family very much and is survived by his daughters, Tara (Jose) Salgado, Kim (Brian Blood) Rizzo, Jennifer (Dwayne) Heidt; grandchi-dren, Jordyn Salgado, Jadyn Salgado, Cayden Rizzo, Cole Rizzo, Logan Heidt and Cameryn Heidt. Also surviving is a brother, Joseph (Martha) Rizzo; nephews, Todd (Angie) Rizzo, Chad (Kristin) Ri-zo, along with his aunts and great-nieces.
Louis is preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a grandson, Jacob Michael Salgado.
There will be no visitation and burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association, 315 Alberta Drive, Suite 102, Buffalo, NY 14226.
