BROCTON Trustees for the village of Brocton ended their fiscal year with a brief meeting Friday at the close of Village Hall office hours.
As their official year-end fiscal business meeting, board members unanimously approved budget transfer requests placed before them. Most of the transfers were for reasons of departmental overtime, employee benefit and retirement costs and general miscellaneous expenses.
The trustees also unanimously approved the modification of their adopted budget for 2013-2014 to appropriate $26,000 from the unreserved unappropriated fund balance line to increase the fire protection building line the said amount for necessary roof repairs at the Brocton Fire Hall on Lake Avenue in the village.
The trustees voted in favor of officially authorizing Mayor Dave Hazelton to pen his signature to an agreement with Norton Bros. Roofing Co. of Fredonia, who were selected as the low bidder for the roof replacement project. The official resolution was adopted subject to the contractor providing a valid certificate of liability insurance in the amount of $1 million naming the village as an additional insured party and providing proof of NYS Workers' Compen-sation Insurance along with agreed-upon terms of the contract.
The board meets again on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
