Miguel A. Cruz, 63, of Dunkirk died Friday after-noon (June 13, 2014) at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk.
He was born Dec. 1, 1950 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, the son of Angelita (Rivera) Cruz of Dunkirk and the late Pablo Cruz.
He had been employed as a machinist at Pavia Metal Corporation in Newark, New Jersey.
Besides his mother survivors include two daughters, Brunilda Cruz of Belleville, NJ and Angelita Cruz of Boston, Mass; two sons, Miguel Cruz Jr. of Boston, Mass and Ibrahim Cruz of Newark, NJ; three brothers, Pablo Cruz, Angel Cruz, and Jose Cruz, all of Dunkirk; one sister, Norma Cruz of Dunkirk; 13 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Iris Cruz.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Calling hours will be held Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
