MEDINA - Lois C. (Voelker) Klatt, 94, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday (June 8, 2014) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Born on April 14, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Clara (Baehr) Voelker.
She was married on May 18, 1944, to Ernest Klatt at Trinity Lutheran Church in Medina by the Rev. Reinhardt Malte. Prior to her marriage she was a secretary at Friend Manufacturing Co. in Gasport.
Mrs. Klatt was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Medina and had served as church secretary for over 60 years. She also was a Sunday School teacher for many years and an active member of the Ladies Service Guild, where she held various offices through the years. She was also a 4-H leader for several years. Her hobby was crocheting, especially afghans.
Mrs. Klatt was predeceased by her beloved hus-band, Ernest Klatt on Dec. 6, 2001, and her brother, Richard Voelker in June 2004.
Survivors include two daughters, Evonne Henne-bery of Dunkirk and Elaine Bute of Waterport; a grand-daughter, Tina Waters of Woodinville, Wash.; a step-grandson, Jason (Tammy) Waters of Texas; two great-grandchildren, Erin Waters and Hunter; her sister in-law, Lois A. Klatt of Lyndonville; several nieces, nephews, cousins and nine god-children.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 21, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1212 West Ave., Medina, with the Rev. Peter A. Lindemann officiating. Burial will be in Lynhaven Cemetery, Lyndonville.
