That certainly sums up our experience at the Great Lakes Festival. What a wonderful event! Thanks to the sponsors whose generosity enabled non-profits to participate for free. Thanks to the organizers who did such a wonderful job.
One great idea was to have festival goers fill out a sheet and get a bead from each group. Because of this, many groups or agencies were visited by people who might not otherwise have stopped at their tables. Thanks to all the exhibitors who had great displays and shared their knowledge and expertise.
Finally, thanks to all the participants. Because children had to pick out a bead and get their sheets signed, there was often a short wait. We were so impressed by the behavior of all the children who visited us. We met children of all ages and everyone waited patiently for their turn. We had several handouts and each child asked us before taking something and then thanked us. Wow indeed!
Thanks to all who made this event so special.
