Joan Armstrong, age 74, of the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation, a member of the Seneca Nation, Hawk Clan, died July 18, 2014 at her home.
She was born December 30, 1939 in Silver Creek, N.Y., to the late Eli and Alice Snyder Armstrong. Joan was preceded in death by her companion, Ivan R. Logan.
Joan worked at J.N. Adam for over 20 years, and for the Seneca Nation for over 10 years. She was a Seneca Party supporter and a longtime devoted Buffalo Bills fan. Joan loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Richard Logan, Tracy (Mike) Gonzalez, Heidi Logan, and Suzette Logan; grandchildren: Ari Ann Logan, Kayla Jo White, and James Logan White; great-grandchildren: Darius Snow, Jeremy Snow, Lorenza Dowdy, Mabelene Dowdy, and Aaliyah James White; sisters: Janice (Frank) Martinez and Karen Armstrong; also survived by nieces and nephews. Joan was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Armstrong.
