The winners of the 2014 Club Championships at Tri-County Country Club have been announced. Bob Clark (157) won the men’s title, John Vona (160) won the senior title and Jane Fisher (203) won the women’s title. Flight winners were: Fred Mosca (158, Champions Flight), Mike Taylor (167, President’s Flight), Chuck Feldmann (186, Vice President’s Flight), Vona (160, Seniors Flight) and Fisher (203, Ladies Flight). Javier Soto won the Dunkirk Lakefront 5K that was held Saturday in Dunkirk. The Dunkirk High School cross country runner finished the course in a time of 17:31.5 and was followed by Joe Campbell (17:42.8), Adam Rowe (17:50.9), Ethan Francis (18:31.1) and Patrick Early (18:49.8).
Brooke Adams was the top female runner after she finished in 19:49.1, which was good enough for sixth place overall. Adams was followed in the overall top 10 by Robert Rappole (19:53.7), John Gustafson (20:01.8), Adam Woelfle (20:16.9) and Anthony Ruiz (21:20.0).

In this week's action, Celoron and Randolph again had to go to the ninth score to break a tie, with Celoron prevailing, 445-444. In the other match, Carroll out-gunned Busti, 335-332.
Perfect 50's were shot by Russ Wingard (tied for high sr. vet), Rob Becker, Bob Faga (high vet) and Tom Tutmaher, of Celoron. Also, Red Clark (tied for high sr. vet), Marty Gawron, Andrew Hvizdzak (high jr.) and Dale Speta of Randolph. Meanwhile, Maranda Perez (Celoron) had her first 25 straight.
High lady: Stephanie Tutmaher (Celoron) 49; High jr. sub: Dalton Becker (Celoron) 46; High super sr. vet: Gary Sickles Sr. (Randolph) 49.
Celoron 445, Randolph 444 - Celoron: Russ Wingard, Rob Becker, Bob Faga and Tom Tutmaher all shot a 50 while Rob Graham, Dave Kingsley, Dennis Spoon, Jerry Willett and Randy Lineman chipped in 49's.
Randolph: Red Clark, Marty Gawron, Andrew Hvizdzak, and Dale Speta all shot 50's while Kim Milford, Gary Sickles Sr., Tim Sickles and Jacob Grimm shot 49's. Derek Rumsey added 48.
Carroll 335, Busti 332 - Carroll: Paul Prentice, John Foster and Ray Lee each shot a 49 while Jim Nowacki chipped in a 48. Also for Carroll, Alex Kyler and Mike Mackey shot 47's and Denny Corey added a 46.
Busti: Charlie Brown led the way with a 49 while Ben Paddock had a 48. Elsewhere, Elijah Trwaick, Dick Starks, George Kirin, Tiffany Decker and Bill Dallas shot 47's.

Meeting for Fredonia Boys Modified Soccer Team to Be Held Aug. 17
A meeting will be held for the Fredonia High School boys modified soccer team on Sunday, Aug. 17, at 6 p.m., at the gazebo behind the Fredonia Central School. The gazebo is located near the tennis courts.

Fall Travel Baseball
WNY Boys of Summer League is accepting team registrations for its fall travel baseball season for full teams only, ages 11 through 16 (based on 2015 playing age). The 35th Annual Westfield
One-Pitch Slow Pitch
The Annual Westfield One-Pitch Slow Pitch Softball Tournament will be held Aug. 23 in Westfield on the softball fields at NorthLake, Smith and Westfield School. Entry fees must be in by Aug. 21.
The tournament will be a double elimination if there are more than 12 teams and a round robin format if there are 12 teams or less. This is a one-pitch slow pitch format with each batter starting with a 3-2 count. The entry fee is $250 per team. A payout based on 16 teams is $1,000 for first, $500 for second and $250 for third.
Any proceeds will go to the Woody Keyser fund.
