Observer Today

During the 2013-2014 school year, four students in the Work Experience Program at the BOCES LoGuidice Center in Fredonia participated in training at The Resource Center's Employment and Work Training Center on East Chestnut Street in Dunkirk. Students received training on soft skills, assembly, sewing (single needle and double needle), bartack and binding from Julie McFarland, production trainer at The Resource Center. Recently, the students presented McFarland with a certificate of appreciation for working with them. A second certificate was presented to The Resource Center for participating in the Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES Special Education Work Experience Program. Pictured from left are McFarland; Rebecca Hamlet Kapple, rehabilitation services administrator at The Resource Center; Amy Montgomery, BOCES work experience teacher; and students Alicia Miles, Stevie Ray Stevens, Andrew Sissen and Wayne Francis.
