Edward Ralph Ballotin passed away on August 9, 2014 in Vero Beach, FL, at the age of 90 after a short illness.
He was born in Dunkirk, NY, the son of Rose and Harry Ballotin.
Edward graduated from Dunkirk High School and also received a B.A. from Western Reserve University and an M.A. in retailing from the University of Pittsburgh.
He served in World War II, where he was stationed in Versailles, France and Frankfurt, Germany.
Edward returned to Dunkirk after the war, where he owned The Boston Store and later Jayne's women's clothing store. He was a member of Temple Beth El in Dunkirk, NY.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Kline Ballotin, whom he married Dec. 25, 1947; two daughters, Debra Cambria of Williams-ville, NY, and Pam Berman Waybright (Ted) of Charleston, WV; a grandson, Alex Berman (Lisa); a great-granddaughter, Hannah Michelle Berman; a brother-in-law, Robert Kline; and a niece, Reyna Kline.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. The family has asked that contributions be made to your favorite charity.
