Ann J. "Dolly" Fabritius, 87, of Dunkirk/Fredonia, died Tuesday afternoon (Aug. 19, 2014) at the Chautauqua County Home in Dunkirk. She was born Jan. 1, 1927 in Dunkirk, the daughter of the late Harry and Anna (Kondzielski) Sadowski. A lifelong area resident, Mrs. Fabritius was a homemaker. She and husband, Joe, spent 20 years wintering in Las Cruces, New Mexico. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and loved to travel worldwide. Survivors include her children, Suzanne (David) Green, Michael (Stephanie) Fabritius, Joseph (Pamela) Fabritius, Kurt (Carol) Fabritius, Randal (Lori) Fabritius and Charmaine (Robert) Kirkham; 13 grandchildren,Douglas (Mimi) Green, Mallory and Olivia Green, Amy (Andrew) Szwejbka, Amanda Fabritius, Melissa (Nicholas) VerHague, Ryan Fabritius, Jamie (Mark) Gruber, Colleen Fabritius, Kenneth and Joseph II Fabritius and Scotia and Story Kirkham; six great-grandchildren, Elliott Green, Evelyn, Brody and Roman Szwejbka, and Noah and Abigail Gruber; and one sister, Loretta Kowalski. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Joseph M. Fabritius. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014 from 1-3 p.m. at the Northern Chautauqua Conservation Club. In lieu of flowers, memorials may made to Hospice Chautauqua County, 20 West Fair-mount Avenue, Lakewood, NY 14750 or Boys and Girls Club, 296 Lake Shore Drive East, Dunkirk, NY 14048.
