Betty Lou Miller, 71 years old, of Brocton, NY, passed away after a lengthy illness early Saturday afternoon, August 30, 2014, at her home, with her loving family by her side.
Betty was born in Brocton, NY, on November 11, 1942 to the late James and Naomi Springer Bundy.
She was an area resident her entire life. She was a graduate of Brocton Central School and was a Quality Control Specialist for Better Baked Foods of Westfield, NY, retiring after 20 years of service. She had also previously worked for the former Vineyard Restaurant and The White Inn of Fredonia, NY. Betty also belonged to the American Legion John W. Dill Post 434 Auxiliary of Brocton, NY, and was also a member of the Portland Congregational Church of Portland, NY.
Betty is survived by her four sons, Michael Miller of Brocton, NY, Darren Miller of San Antonio, Texas, Richie Miller of Forestville, NY, and Jason Miller of Silver Creek, NY; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Two brothers, William Bundy and James Bundy II, both of Brocton, NY, also survive.
Besides her parents, Betty was predeceased by her husband, Richard "Dick" Miller, who passed away in 1995, and one daughter, Jamie Miller Helwig, who passed away in 2010.
Friends and family are invited to calling hours at the Morse Funeral Home, 51 Highland Ave. in Brocton, NY, today, September 1, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of life will take place on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at 3 o'clock at 14 Pullman St. in Brocton, NY. The Rev. Gordon Spiller of the Portland Congregational Church will officiate. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
