Chautauqua Point Golf Course helps out?Rally for the Cure

Gowanda Youth soccer,
football begins in September
The Gowanda youth five week co-ed soccer and touch football programs will begin during the second week in September.
The soccer program for children in grades K-7 will commence on Monday, Sept. 8 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The touch football program, which is open to children in grades 3-7, will begin two nights later, on Sept. 10 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Both programs will be held at the George Dispenza Memorial Field on Broadway Road.

Southern Tier Bills Boosters
The Southern Tier Bills Booster Club will watch the Buffalo Bills take on the Chicago Bears on Sunday at the First Ward Falcon Club.
Roast beef sandwiches will be provided at halftime.
Members may bring a dish to pass.
Fredonia Little League
The Fredonia Little League Board elections will be held Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m., at the American Legion, located on East Main Street, Fredonia.
Board positions are open. All current board members, managers, coaches, all interested parents and community members are urged to attend.
Gary Tripp Memorial
The Gary Tripp Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, Sept. 13, at Shorewood Country Club.
There will be prizes or games at each hole, with a banquet and awards ceremony scheduled to be held at the Kosciuszko Club following the golf.
Thirty foursomes will compete for the title this year while there will be 40 hole sponsors. Sponsorships are still available and anyone interested should contact Fred Tripp at 785-7953 or Jim Pasierb at 366-1525.
Raffle tickets are still available from any committee member, including Tripp or Pasierb. Prizes will include a 39-inch high-definition television, a Shults Resale car detailing package, a Russell's dinner and overnight package for two and a stone fire pit with a party bucket. Winners need not be present to claim their prize.
Monies raised from past tournaments have been used to establish an annual Gary Tripp Colorectal Cancer Research Fund at Roswell Park, as well as an annual GTMGT Dunkirk High School scholarship and an annual donation to the GTMGT SUNY Fredonia scholarship.
