STIENER you claim to be this super Scientist Chemist. Yet you dont want medical pot. That means you are not a real chemist then.
See STiener in you mixed up mind all drugs are the same. Just a drug. Marijuana stops child's severe seizures. PEDs gave alex his $$275 million dollars contract. Why because it make him sharper, more intense reaction and reflexs under false pretences. Us a drug (weed) to help you relieve pian and suffering is not the same as using a drug to gain more money and fame. The biggest reason ALex started to fight the claims was because of how much money he was going to lose.

Hey Stiener hows your defence of Gabryzak holding up,lol.
Leave it to the biggest Loser Stiener to compare abortion to PEDs. What kind of sad life he must have.
This grew way out of proportion b/c of Selig's tight relationship with the NYY and his well-known hatred for ARod. If Selig would've given ARod the STANDARD 2nd-offense, 100 game suspension, it may have gone away, but as MLB commish (and fellow owner, can anyone say conflict), Selig knew that NY wanted out of ARod's contract. Isn't it curious the press is always printing dirt on players but never on owners?
PR: this isn't about 1 (one) player (who you obviously dislike).
MLB is full of dopers, and has been for quite some time. The owners (yes, including Steinbrenner) hired chemists and paid them to research the benefits that such drugs would provide as a means to protect their "investments." The owners introduced these drugs to the players thru team doctors & trainers. This, coupled with long-term multi million $$$ contracts, is what ultimately created product demand, the black mkt and the "questionable business associates." Congress' investigation was a complete farce. The owners are the ones who ruined the game, not players like A-Rod who were given a carrot-on-a-stick by the teams that owned them. Bonds' head growth, Big Mac & Sosa's HR race, and the annual HR Derby was no surprise. Congress should've investigated the owners, NOT the players.
A-Rod should be punished for repeatedly lying about his PED use. MLB can, and has, levied banishment to players since the beginning of the game regardless of actual proof of anything. 1 season off to think about how much of an *** he is will do him good.
Most people would have more respect for him if he just said.. yeah, I took PEDs because I'm not getting any younger and it helps me stay sharp. That'd be OK with me. Man up and take the 50 game ban. But no - A-Rod the pathological liar and ultimate egotist is having a full on temper tantrum and has ruined any shred of a reputation he has left.

I agree, DKexpat, but again, even if the PLAYERS ASSOC proposed some of the most stringent conditions ever heard of (just to clean up the game), there'd be owners who would admit (in confidence) that such strict measures really aren't necessary.
ALL the owners knew...hell, they even encouraged it, and when huge contracts became the norm, that was the incentive to keep doping, and why it's so common in MLB.
One of the problems is these guys get off easy the first time (or two) the get caught --- in the meanwhile they get multimillion-dollar, multi-year contracts for drug-inflated extensions.
So, to many, it is worth the risk. How 'bout we void those contracts when they get caught?

A message to the kids, follow what I wrote.

"A message needs to be sent"?
Don't be so naive to think the owners weren't aware of it. Who do you think spent the millions of $$$ in research and introduced players to these drugs to help keep their "investments" performing at their best? The owners are just as guilty, and want to win as badly as the players who want that big contract.

We're sure that Steiner will never be accused of doing PED's, his comments are proof of that

what's irritating is the claim it baseballs fault and lawyers deflecting responsibility, how about this "IF PLAYERS DON'T CHEAT, THEN THERE IS NO NEED FOR PUNISHMENT"
Is he guilty? Of course. Has he been disgraced? I suppose, but since the number of guilty players is ever-growing (as noted by Tony Bosch, who said: "doping is part of the game, and has been for a very long time"), then such a distinction is really insignificant, other than there'll be no HOF for "poor" ol Alex.
Is A-Rod still a multi-millionaire? ABSOLUTELY!
what is really needed is to remove records that are tainted by PED use, with that Hank Aaron is the all time home run king, and Roger Maris is the single season king, as for Arod he was given the chance to testify and refused, so it time to man up and take your medicine,13 others did
As to Rodriguez, Absolutely, and not strong enough. As to Steiner, have you ever been married?????????????
