Agree with Phil. Election day was set for Tuesday by Congress when we were a rural society traveling by horseback. Tuesdays so everyone could go to church on the Sunday and ride to the county seat on Monday.
Those days are long gone and there are polling places everywhere, so make it Saturday and more convenient for everyone.

Also keep school votes from political... they are separate.

They should move the primary to August, include a requirement for a photo ID (they still think my son lives in the area, have him as a registered voter and ask that the show up for jury duty), and keep the voting on Tuesday. Keep low information voters away from the polls, they are the decay of society and only bring the rest of us down.
Political campaigns are far too long and by the time the election comes around most voters are sick of hearing about it. I say shorten the whole process. But on the subject of campaigns why not combine school and political elections? Why not make them both on the same ballot and make the election day on the FIRST SATURDAY OF NOVEMBER. A very small percentage of voters turn out for school elections for many reasons but if those school contests and budget approvals were held on the same day as political elections the results would be a much better representation of voter opinions. Voting on SATURDAY makes sense for obvious reasons.

So they have a primary in August and election in November? How dumb!

maybe do away with primary all together, after all when has a candidate actually worked for the people, just put all who have required number of signed petitions on the ballot and let the games begin

Why would you want to put a primary during a time when people go on summer vacation trips. Just keep it in September and stop wasting time on frivolous changes. Do Your Jobs!!!!

Why do they want it in August? This is a stupid fight in my opinion. We got real issues in our state. Stop wasting time over silly things like when to have the primary
