As an employee in the private sector I received annual performance reviews and any pay raises were based on achievement and performance. In a union environment all employees receive the same pay raise with no regard to performance. I fail to see how unions can defend this process. Where is the incentive to do a better job?

no, they are all inept govt parasites.
A much better way to evaluate teachers is to evaluate what your child has learned with a sit down discussion with the child.

I am not sure I agree with how they evaluate teachers. I know each of my grandchildren's teachers over the years, and each of them I would give the HIGHEST RATING. Outstanding teachers who do much more than just instruct. I applaud every one of them and all of the aides as well.
