Asquith Senior Golf Tour — Shelly Grant won the White A flight with a low gross of 69. Grant also took first in the Stableford at +13, followed by David Young +4 and Tom Vogan +2.

In the White B flight, four players tied for low gross. Paul Edson, Mike Ruth, Tom Szydlo and Scott Vogan each shot 93. Dick Tyler took first in the Stableford at +4, followed by Edson +3 and Vogan +2.

Dave Allen was low gross of Gold A with an 80. Neil Cullen took first in the Stableford with a +8, followed by Jon Nelson +5 and Dave Allen +3.

Joe Palermo took Gold B with a low gross of 83 and the Stableford with a +8, followed by Joe McCourt +5 and Ray Galligan +5.

Jim Caronia and Mike Rosario each shot a 94 to tie atop Gold C. Jim Wirges took first in the Stableford at +4, followed by Dave Lawton +2 and Tom O’Brien +2.

Duey Anderson won Gold D with a 97 while Ed Potter won the Stableford at +10, followed by Tom Fairbanks +6 and Bill Saulsgiver +6.

Clostest to the pin went to Jim Fincher (No. 2), Brian Nrown (No. 7), Bill Davenport (No. 13) and Palermo (No. 15).

Next week’s match is at Pine Acres Golf Course on Tuesday, Sept. 5 at 9 a.m.

Ladies Wednesday Night League — The week’s leaders were Pat Kaus, Pam Alessi and Phyllis East. Kathy Kolo was named Golfer of the Week. On Sept. 6, we will hold our final meeting at 9:30, following by a pot luck lunch at the home of Phyllis East, 181 Temple St. In case of rain, the lunch will be held at noon.

Girls4 Golf Tuesday Night League — (Aug. 15) Low gross was won by Judy Mowery with a 43 followed by Kay Richard with a 47, Donna Ward with a 49, Linda Hodorowicz with a 50, Sally GIambrone with a 53 and Nancy Phillips with a 54. Low net was won by Kay Richard with a 36 followed by Judy Mowery with a 37 and Sally GIambrone with a 38. Kay Richard won closest to the pin on hole No. 9 and Judy Mowery won closest to the pin on hole No. 3 and hole No. 5.

The league was rained out on Aug. 22.

Girls4 Golf Tuesday Night League — (Aug. 29) — Low gross was won by Donna Frost with a 47 followed by Judith Waterman and Nancy Phillips each with a 48, Linda Hodorowicz with a 50, Kay Richard and Katie Machalak each with a 54 and Kim Murphy with a 55. Low net was won by Donna Frost and Linda Hodorowicz each with a 40, Judith Waterman with a 41 and Katie Machalak and Nancy Phillips each with a 42. Most bogies for the evening was won by Nancy Phillips and Sue Gotowaka and Kim Murphy won for highest score on hole No. 1.

Announcements

BUFFALO — The Buffalo Sabres announced Wednesday the team will open its main training camp on Thursday, Sept. 14. Beginning that Friday, the team’s practice sessions at HarborCenter will be open to the public, with multiple sessions throughout each day.

The Sabres’ preseason slate of games begin Monday, Sept. 18.
