Cattaraugus County Hall of Fame to induct 12
Twelve new members will be inducted into the Cattaraugus County Sports Hall of Fame banquet. The 15th Annual event is set for Saturday, April 8 at the Little Valley Legion beginning at 6 p.m.
This year’s class of inductees include: Fred Caya, (Portville), Robert Jimerson, Sr. (Gowanda), D.J. Whitmore, (Salamanca), Barbara Duggan (Cattaraugus-Little Valley), Dick Edmunds, (Pioneer), Chad Lyter, (Allegany-Limestone), Bruno DeGiglio, (Olean), Susan Horton, (Ellicottville), Royce Ross, (Franklinville), Mike Williams, (West Valley) and Wayne Marsh, (Cattaraugus-Little Valley). Tommy “The Ironman” Irons (Olean) will be inducted posthumously.

FHS Baseball Clinic
The Fredonia High School Baseball program will be hosting two clinics highlighting fundamental skills on Saturday, March 25 at Fredonia High School. This is a great way to kick off the baseball season.
The first session will run from 8 until 11 a.m. and is for children ages 5 through 8. The second session is for children age 9 through 12 and will be held from noon until 3 p.m.
Instruction will be provided by Fredonia High School players and coaches and will include hitting, throwing, infield and outfield defense, pitching and base running. Catching instruction will also be available. The clinic will be held indoors and will utilize three gyms, a batting cage and indoor pitching mounds. Participants are asked to wear sneakers and bring their own glove.
The cost of the clinic is $20. Each additional child from the same family will receive a $5 discount. All participants will receive a T-shirt. Walk-ins are welcome.

Babe Ruth Tryouts
The Brocton/Portland Babe Ruth League will hold tryouts for its 13-15-year-old division on Saturday, March 25 from 2 until 4 p.m. at the Brocton High School gym, rain or shine.
Players should bring a glove, gym shoes and a copy of their birth certificate.

P-Dubs’s 6, BJ’s 3
Robert Bajdas netted four goals while Josh Polak and Dave Wright each had one for P-Dubs.
Assists for P-Dubs went to Jeff Huyck (3), Wright, Derek Sheridan, Polak and Matt Sheridan.
Ryan Pogorzelski scored all three goals for the losers with assists going to Matt Ambrose (2) and Tyler Gustafson.
P-Dubs advances to play the No. 2 seed Dunkirk Falcons in the best-of-three A League Championship this weekend at Steele Hall.
Dunkirk Falcons 5, Coughlan’s 3
Cory Dziduch had the hat trick while Matt Murphy and Ben Nickle each lit the lamp once.
Assists for Falcons went to Justin Giles (2), Ryan Simon and Derek Backert.
Dan Westin, Taylor Mattoon and Dan Bellis each had a goal for Coughlan’s with assists going to Andy Harrington and Mike Szalkowski.
Falcons advance to play No. 1 P-Dubs in the best-of-three A League Championship this weekend at Steele Hall.
Women’s Doubles Championship — The DLBA Women’s Doubles championship kicked off Saturday, March 18.
