Cassadaga Valley Youth Soccer Program registration

The Cassadaga Valley Youth Soccer Program opened its 2017 summer season registration March 24 and will be until April 30. The program is available to all who are ages 4 to 15 as of Aug. 1, 2017.

Registration could be done online at www.cvysl.siplay.com and the cost is $35 for families that will register three or fewer players. For four or more within the same family, the cost is $25. There will be a $5 discount if you register before April 7.

If the player is entering their first year into the program, it is required to submit a copy of their birth certificate.

The games begin on June 27 at the Sinclairville Elementary School. Events will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays through the first week of August.

For assistance to register, there will be help at the Cassadaga Library on April 3 from 5 p.m. to 7 and the Sinclairville Library on April 6 from 5 p.m. to 7.

There is also an opportunity to help the league as it is looking for referees, coaches, board members and photographers.

To become a referee, complete the online registration by selecting the referee option. The same goes for selecting the coach option for coaching. Email cassadagayouthsoccer@gmail.com to get an inquire on becoming a board member. Photographers could contact the board to take team photos and individual pictures.

CCHA C Division Championship Game

Lakeview Shock 2, Heenan’s 1 (Shock won series 2-1)

CJ Vara and Joe Harris each tallied a goal, while Tony Privitera, Vara and Bryan McCoy earned an assist for the Shock in the win. Brian Lillie earned the win in net.

For Heenan’s, Larry Klajbor scored the lone goal and Bob Traska was awarded an assist. Gary Shain took the loss in goal.

Youth Trap League

Southern Tier Trap League

Tuesday, March 28 marked the beginning of match competition for the western conference of the Southern Tier Youth Trap League. Cassadaga Valley’s Maranda Perez started her season with a perfect 25.

At Carroll Rod & Gun Club, Frewsburg came in as the high scorer of 187. In second, Cassadaga Valley tallied 180 with Maple Grove scoring 138.

At Big Tree Sportsmen Club, Sherman shot a 165, Clymer scored 151, Chautauqua Lake tallied 146, Brocton scored 125 and Panama had a score of 109.

At the Busti Trap Club, Southwestern led the way with a 166 and Falconer was on their tail with a 163.
