Shorewood Country Club

Wednesday Travel League — Dave Mathews won for the second straight week after posting the low round of 79 at Shorewood Country Club.

Robert Calph (80) and Ron Rys (81) finished second and third, respectively. Mathews led the front nine with 38 and Calph led the back nine with 39.

Other flight winners were Joe Woloszyn (B), Danny Kubera( C flight, on a tiebreaker over Chris Yarber) and Lenny Leszkowicz (D). The winner of the Bruce “Java” Chrabasz Commissioner’s Award was Lee Titus.

Thursday Night Men’s Golf League — Mike Lancaster, 37; Jay Habich, 38; Don Meder, 39; Tom Gauronski, 40; Alex McQuiggan, 40; Ron Mason, 41; Andy Snyder, 41; Rob Kahle, 42; Bob Smith, 42.

Low net: Habich, net 30.

Closest to the pin, hole No. 6, Nick Krupa.

Skins: Habich, No. 5, birdie; Meder, No. 7, birdie; Ron Martin, Jr., No. 8, birdie.

Wednesday Ladies League — Low scores: Michelle Helmer, 43; Linnea Nichols, 47; Connie Minnich and Sue Grace, 49; Janice Wintersteen, 50 and Cam Lawton 53.

Mother/daughter, Frost/Helmer, shot low-team net with a 29.

Skins went to Helmer (No. 10 and 11-par, No. 12, bogey), Nichols (No. 13, par), Minnich (No. 14, par) and Lawton (No. 18, par).

Nichols was closest-to-the-pin on No. 15,

Debbie McCown cashed in on the 50/50 (pending an audit by the Board), and Donna Frost won the card game (Brenda Swanson was absent).
