For the Record — Sept. 22

State University of Fredonia Community Play Day

On Saturday Sept. 30, the SUNY Fredonia Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), in conjunction with Fredonia Blue Devils’ Women’s Soccer team, will be hosting a Community Play Day from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. on both the Grass and Turf Fields at University Stadium. There, college student-athletes will lead participants in different drills, games, and activities prior to the Women’s Soccer game versus Buffalo State at 1 p.m. The game between the Blue Devils and Bengals is the first ‘Battle by the Lake’ contest of the year and also serves as their 2017 Kids Day. The first 200 kids through the gate will receive a free hot dog and drink. Age range for the play day event is ages five through 14, with a liability waiver signed by a parent or guardian available at the site. In addition, the Fredonia Blue Devil himself will be in attendance to take pictures at 11:30 a.m. and again just before halftime during the contest. Come out, have some fun, and enjoy a great game with your Fredonia Blue Devils!
