The Girls 4 Golf League (Sept. 5) — Low gross was won by Judith Waterman and Nancy Phillips with a 51 followed by Donna Frost with a 52 and Bev Cross with a 53. Low net was won by Cross with a 42 followed by Waterman with a 44. Lowest score on holes 1, 6 and 8 was won by Debbie Yerico, Cross and Frost. High score for hole Nos. 1, 6 and 8 was won by Sally Giambrone. End of the year banquet is being planned by Nancy Phillips and Sue Gotowka to be held Sept. 19 at 5:15 p.m. at the Stockton Hotel.

Wednesday Night Ladies League — The Hillview Golf Course Wednesday Night Ladies League finished the season with a banquet at Manning’s Fireside Manor. The top four teams of the 2017 season were first place Sue Cave and Desi Clarke, second place Beth Rich and Barb VanDette, third place Sally Jo Wright and Carlene Davis and fourth place Diane Enser and Jane Ellman. The least amount of putt overage for the league: first place Barb VanDette, second place Charity Mucha and third place Beth Rich. The following recorded birdies for the season: Sue Cave, Viki Clark, Charity Mucha, Carroll Nalepa and Beth Rich. Most improved handicap went to Enser and most consistent handicap was a tie between Bina Loftus and Barb Peck. Perfect attendance was recognized along with other fun facts. Planning for the 2018 golf season was discussed. The league is looking for new teams or anyone wanting to be a substitute. Please call Barb VanDette 934-3993.

Lucky Lanes registering junior bowlers

Registration for the 2017-2018 season will be held on Sep. 9 and Sep. 10 at Lucky Lanes. Registration times are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for those days. All new and returning bowlers must register. The registration fee is $10. Youth bowler ages range from 4 to 20 years old as of Aug. 1. Teams may be all boys, all girls, or mixed. Teams will consist of four bowlers. Leagues will start on Sept. 16. All bowlers from age 6 to 20 will have their choice of bowling at either the 10 a.m. or the 1 p.m. shift each Saturday. Bowlers of ages 4 and 5 will participate in the Bumper Buddies league, which bowls at 1:30 p.m. on Saturdays.
