CCHA Open A League

P*Dubs 6, BJ’s 3

Justin Giles netted two goals for P*Dubs, while his teammates Kevin Salemi, Robert Bajdas, Matt Ginley and Mike Burnett also scored. Cory Dziduch racked up four assists for the team, Burnett had two, and Giles and Bajdas each had one helper.

Jerry Tramuta had a goal and an assist for BJ’s. Ryan Pogorzelski and Matt Azzarella also scored for the squad, while Matt Ambrose picked up an assist.

Newcomb Autoglass 8, Coughlans 1

Nate Woznak starred for Newcomb with four goals and an assist. Matt Kessler recorded two goals, while Mike Paradis and Dawson Rafan each had one. Steve Gromala and Mike Paradis led the way in assists, each getting three. Rafan tallied two helpers, and Matt Szalkowski, Justin Nediceque and Woznak all had one.

Mark Zaffalon scored the Coughlans goal, assisted by Andy Harrington.

CCHA C League

Southern Tier 5, Heenans Pub 4

Ryan Simon and Josh Eppinger both had two goals for Southern Tier, with Tim Borzilleri picking up the team’s other goal. Corey Alm charted a pair of assists, while single assists went to Joe Hallmark Sr., Mike Hallmark, Rick Simon, Nick Quattrone and Eppinger.

For Heenans, Ron Pachol netted two goals, and Steve Szcrypek and Jeff Huyck each scored once. Huyck grabbed an assist, as did Jeff Jamieson and Tim Thexton.

Wicked Glen 3, Lakeview Shock 1

Chris Nelligan had two goals for Wicked Glen and Dave Silaji scored once for the squad. Assists went to Chad Carlson (2), Bobby Brown (2) and Eric Williams.

The Lakeview Shock goal was scored by Matt Polvino, with Jim Eschberger assisting.

Coughlans 6, Beaver Club 2

Dan Robinson’s hat trick led Coughlans, with Mark Weimer scoring twice and Marc Smith adding a goal and two assists. Mike Palisono, Dave Stamer and Robinson also tallied assists.

Dave Newman and Tim Kachermeyer scored the Beaver Club goals, which were assisted by Jim Rozen and Greg Krauza.


Fredonia to host baseball prospect clinics

The SUNY Fredonia baseball team will be holding a pair of prospect clinics on Sunday, Dec. 10, for grades 9-12. Pitchers and catchers will go from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. A hitting and defense clinic will go from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is $30 for one session and $45 for both. Lunch will be provided for those that attend both sessions.
