Lula Roe with Sarah Gilbert won over Roy G Biv 6-4. Scoring for Lula Roe with three goals was Donald Easton, Maralyn Hebner with two goals and Mallory Myles with one goal. Scoring for Roy G Biv was Brody Beichner with three goals and Brayden Beichner with one goal.

King Kone took the victory over Storer’s Cyclones 4-2. Scoring for King Kone was Hunter Edson with three goals and Caden Lacki with one goal. Scoring for Storer’s Cyclones was Dominic Armstrong with two goals.

Barney’s Hoof Trimming tied Jamestown Macadam 3-3. Scoring for Barney’s was Jaidyn Briggs, Caleb Anderson and Taylor Lahnen each with one goal. Scoring for Jamestown Macadam was Ayden Hall with two goals and Kristyn McVey with one goal for the tie.

Park Church tied Homestead stables 3-3. Scoring for Park Church was Madison Hinton with two goals. Scoring for Homestead Stables was Brody Hawkins with three goals.

Bethany Camp had the victory over SKM 2-0. Scoring for Bethany Camp was Conner Main and Allen Fawkes (assist Aiden Testa) each with one goal. Goalies for the Bethany for the shutout were Aiden Testa, Katie Pattison and Conner Main.

KCR and Library Bookworms tied 0-0.

Gerry Free Methodist Church won over Southern Chautauqua Federal Credit 4-2. Scoring for GFMC was Johnathon Brockelbank (assist Andera Johnson), Issac Wenger and Gregory Holmberg (assists John Brockelbank) each with one goal. Scoring for Southern Chautauqua FCU was Steven Biggers and Noah Abram (assist Haydn Myers) each with one goal.

MK Mustangs won over Southern Tier Land Surveying 3-2. Scoring for MK Mustangs was Matthew Dallas with three goals (assist Adam Dossey). Scoring for Southern Tier Land Surveying was Noah Richner (assist Sarah Elder) and Alex Reynolds (Evan Reynolds) each with one goal.

Friday Night Vineyards Couples League

The weather was beautiful and the course playing well as seven couples played Friday night at the Vineyards. Scores were from 32-34 with the closest to pin on #3 going to Jeff Nelson. After golf a delicious catered dinner by Mannings Catering was enjoyed by all. There will be golf this Friday the 13th, open to all couples. DLBA Golf Tournament July 21 at Rose Brook

The second annual Dunkirk Lakeshore Bowling Association Golf Tournament will be Saturday, July 21 at Rose Brook Golf Course, Beebe Road, Silver Creek.

Format: 4-person scramble (best ball). Registration at 10 a.m., shotgun start at 11 a.m. Cost is $90 per person or $360 per team and includes golf, cart, on course contests, prizes (for men, women and mixed teams), lunch at the turn and New York strip steak dinner afterward. A Chinese auction and 50/50 will also be available.

Gary Tripp Memorial Golf Tournament Aug. 25

The Tenth and Final Gary Tripp Memorial Golf Tournament (GTMGT) plans are progressing and on the First Tee. The 2018 tournament is set for Saturday, August 25 at the Vineyards golf courses in Fredonia. Registration starts at 9 a.m. The shotgun start is at 10 a.m.

The registration fee of $65 per golfer includes food on the course and dinner at the Kosciuszko Club and a golfer’s gift. Captains’ foursome forms are being sent out the week of July 2.

The deadline to sign up is Monday, Aug. 6. Contact Katie or Pat at 366-1044. Extra foursome forms and sponsor forms will be available at the K Club.

Monies raised from past tournaments have been used to establish an annual Gary Tripp Colorectal Cancer Research fund at Roswell Park, an annual GTMGT Dunkirk High School Scholarship and an annual donation to the GTMGT SUNY Fredonia Scholarship.

Gym Rats Basketball Camp at Wheelock July 9

The Fredonia boys basketball program will be hosting its sixth annual Gym Rats Basketball Camp this July at the Wheelock Primary School Gym. The camp is for boys and girls ages 4-9 and will be held the week of July 9-13. The camp runs from 9:30 a.m. to noon daily.

Campers will participate in lead-up games, relay races and a lot of passing, dribbling, ball handling and shooting. All campers get a free T-shirt, basketball & daily snack. The cost for the camp is $75 or $115 for two family members.

Gowanda Fast Pitch Tournament set for July 28

The 12th Annual Gowanda girls 16U fast pitch softball tournament will be held on Saturday, July 28 at Gateway Park. Each team will play three games, receive two all-star plaques and a complimentary scorebook. In addition, the championship team will receive T-shirts and the MVP plaque. Certified high school umpires will officiate. The entry fee is $50. There is room for one more team in the tournament. SUNY Fredonia youth hockey camp Aug. 27-30

The SUNY Fredonia Hockey Camp for boys and girls ages 5-12 will be held August 27-30, 2018. It runs from Monday through Thursday from 10 to 11:15 a.m. in the Steele Hall Ice Arena.
